You know, we have this generation of therapy and this idea that we’re supposed to come to terms with and accept all the aspects of our family. I think there’s time when you can decide that there are people in your life, even if they are your family, who represent things or do things you don’t agree with. You don’t have to respect them or consider them a friend because your therapist says it’s healthy. I think it’s healthy to know who’s good for you and whom you want in your life.
